You don’t have to figure life out alone.
I kept asking how to change.
I needed someone I could trust.
Honestly, I thought I just needed to be tougher. So I tried to fix everything by myself. Faith and the right people taught me something different. I’m still learning, but if part of my story feels familiar, you can write me.
I read every note myself
My story
I’m telling the part I used to hide.
To be honest, I thought I could become strong enough to handle everything by myself.
Part of my story is self-harm. I reached a point where I was hurting myself and hiding it. I felt like I should be strong enough to get it together on my own.
The people who helped me did not treat me like a problem to solve. They stayed close enough to tell me the truth, and they kept pointing me back to faith. That changed what I thought strength was.
I also went through International ALERT Academy’s Basic Training. It pushed me physically and mentally, but what stayed with me most was doing hard things beside other men and building better spiritual habits. It was one chapter in a longer process of learning responsibility and faith.
I don’t think my story makes me the answer. Honestly, I’m still learning too. But I know how much it matters when one person makes room for the truth. If any of this feels familiar, I’ll listen.
“I know I can’t be perfect, but at least I can be positive.”
If you want to talk
Start with a note.
You don’t need to apply or tell your whole story. Write whatever you feel ready to say. I read it myself and reply by email. If talking would help, we can decide on a phone or video call after that.
There is nothing to join. Just write what you’re ready to say.
Under 18? Do not submit this form. Ask a parent, guardian, pastor, or youth leader to reach out with you instead.
This is personal and spiritual mentorship, not crisis or mental-health care. If you might hurt yourself or need immediate emotional support in the U.S., call or text 988. Outside the U.S., use Find A Helpline to find verified support near you. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency service.
Application of Inspiration
I talk about what I’m learning in real time.
Most of it is me thinking out loud about how faith shapes the kind of man I’m becoming.
